Why do I need to renew a subscription?
As your subscription period ends, you’ll need to decide whether to continue using the service. We’ll send you several reminders in advance so you’ll have time to check the subscription expiration date, consider available options, and choose the one that fits you best:
- Renewal without changing the number of licenses
- Renewal with a new number of licenses
- Renewal with a change of the plan
- Cancellation of subscription renewal
We recommend renewing your subscription at least 1 day before the expiration date.
If you are going to reduce the number of licenses in a subscription, make sure to unassign licenses for unnecessary users in the vendor’s admin console before renewal.
Microsoft does not allow subscriptions for its services to be renewed after their expiration date. Therefore, expired subscriptions are immediately removed from the platform. If your subscription has already been deleted, purchase a new one to continue using the service.
Some subscriptions do not require renewal. This typically applies to pay-as-you-go subscriptions (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, AWS) and subscriptions without an expiration date.
