How to Confirm the Invitation and Grant Access

Overview

As a Microsoft partner, our company may request Granular Delegated Admin Privileges (GDAP) to securely manage the licenses and users of your Microsoft account. You grant only the permissions necessary to perform specific tasks, ensuring a high level of security.

For your convenience, we automatically configure GDAP whenever possible. However, your confirmation is required in the following cases:

  • When ordering the first Microsoft Azure Plan subscription for an existing domain.
  • To manage licenses, users of subscriptions, and their roles in the Customer Control Panel (Service Management section), if the subscriptions were ordered before Microsoft introduced the GDAP requirements.
  • If previously granted GDAP have expired or were revoked.

How to Confirm the Invitation

Confirm the invitation if you see the message:

  • "You must confirm the invitation from our company in order to get access to this section" on any page of the Service Management section

or

  • "To activate an Azure Plan subscription, you must choose an existing Microsoft user to assign administrative rights. However, this action is not currently available" during the order process for the Microsoft Azure Plan subscription for an existing domain.

To do that:

  1. Click the invitation link.
  2. Log in to the Microsoft portal with the Global Admin role.
  3. Confirm the invitation.
  4. Return to the Customer Control Panel and refresh the page.

What This Means for You

By confirming the invitation, you temporarily grant our company the minimally necessary privileges (GDAP). This is a standard procedure that complies with Microsoft's new cybersecurity requirements.

What Happens After Confirmation

After confirming the invitation:

  • You will receive an email notification with detailed information about the granted privileges: who granted access, when, to whom, which roles were assigned, and for how long.
  • You will be able to review all information about the granted privileges in the Microsoft Admin Center under Settings > Partner relationships. This list also includes privileges that were configured automatically without confirmation.
