Set Up Product Prices
Overview
You can manage product prices when creating and editing products.
To set up a price, you have to select one of the price models. This determines on what the price set for a product depends. According to the price model selected, the price may be affected by:
- Product quantity - the price per unit is affected by the quantity of the product put in the shopping cart on the checkout page. You can:
- Set up quantity ranges and an individual price per range. Quantity ranging defines a limit on how much of a product the customer can buy at a given price per product unit. E.g., 1 up to 5 units are sold at one price, and starting with the 6th unit or more the price is different. In this example, there are two ranges: 1-5 и 6-∞.
- Alternatively, set one price for any quantity of the product.
- Checkout currency - the price per unit is affected by the currency in which the order is placed. You can:
- Enter an individual price for each checkout currency. The list of available sales currencies is decided in accordance with your agreement.
- Alternatively, set a single price in one of the base currencies (USD/EUR). In this case, if the currency on the checkout page differs from the currency in which you set the price, price conversion takes place at the exchange rate valid for a current date.
The following price models are available to you:
- One price - price per unit is common.
- Volume pricing - individual prices are set in accordance with product quantities purchased.
- One price for each currency - individual prices are set in accordance with currencies at checkout.
- Volume pricing and options - individual prices are set in accordance with product quantities purchased and currencies set at checkout.

Limit Product Quantity Available for Ordering
Using prices, you can also limit the product quantity to be added to the shopping cart on the checkout page.
E.g., you need to set up products that can be purchased in the quantity of not less than 5 units, or 20 at most.
To do this, use the pricing models in which a price depends on a quantity (Volume pricing, Volume pricing and options).
After choosing a model, add a product quantity range:
- To limit the minimum product quantity - start the range with the minimum value permitted.
- To limit the maximum product quantity - end the range with the maximum value permitted.
- You can add only one quantity range if you need to limit the quantity permitted for purchase only, but not the price shift that depends on a quantity.
Examples of how to set up pricing models:
- Less than 5 product units cannot be bought. The price per product unit depends on the product quantity.
First price Second price First unit 5 11 Last unit 10 ∞ Price 100 90
- Less than 5 product units cannot be bought. The price per product unit does not change when the product quantity changes:
First price First unit 5 Last unit ∞ Price 100
- More than 100 product units cannot be bought. The price per product unit depends on the product quantity.
First price Second price First unit 1 11 Last unit 10 100 Price 100 90
- More than 100 product units cannot be bought. The price per product unit does not change when the product quantity changes.
