Set Up Pre-filled List of Licenses

A pre-filled list of licenses is a method to generate licenses required for product fulfillment (electronic delivery of a product to customers).

How it works:

• First, you add licenses for your products to the storage on our end (pool)
• The customer pays for their order
• The system automatically initiates the acquisition of a license for the products of the order from the storage
• The licenses received are sent to the customer's email (an individual email is sent for each product)

Supported:

• License format: text
  If a license is a file, it must be saved on your end and be available via a link. As a license, you transfer the link to the file

If you have not previously set up fulfillment for your products:

• Open the Merchant Portal and log in
• Go to Products / Overview
  You must have at least one product created for the fulfillment option to be available. In this case, after the search form, you will see the fulfillment setup section
• Click Set up in the fulfillment section
• Select the following License generation method - Pre-filled list of licenses (or Test pre-filled list of licenses if you are working in test mode)
• In the Comment field, you can enter any additional information about the setup. When using this license generation method, we can configure additional capabilities for you:
  • The number of licenses to be delivered for your product in an order:
    • 1 license per product unit - when ordering several units of the same product, you must send the same number of licenses to the customer (e.g., if an order contains 5 units of one product, you must send 5 licenses). All received licenses will be sent to the customer in one email
    • 1 license per product - you must send one license for a product, regardless of the number of product units purchased (e.g., if an order contains 5 units of one product, you must send only one common license)
  • The email containing a license - you can customize the text that allows you to insert licenses into the email sent to the customer.
    How to set up:
    • Make sure to use tag {KEY} in the text - licenses received from the pool substitute for the tag
    • You can use additional substitution tags to add order/product/customer data
    You can also customize the text of this email via the Product API after the license generation method has been configured.
  • The email notification that the pool is running out of your licenses - you will be notified if there are less than N licenses left in the storage on our end
• Click Save
• Your request to set up a pre-filled list of licenses will be sent to our support team
• We will reach out to you by email to ask clarifying questions and to set up

To add licenses to the storage on our end, you must contact our support team.

Each license must be a string of text.

You can provide licenses as .txt files. Each license must occupy an individual string.

If you have already set up fulfillment for your products and want to modify your settings:

• Open the Merchant Portal and log in
• Go to Products / Overview
  You must have at least one product created for the fulfillment option to be available. In this case, after the search form, you will see the fulfillment setup section
• Click Edit in the fulfillment section
• Edit the values of the fields:
  • If you previously used a different license generation method and want to switch to using a pre-filled list of licenses, select Pre-filled list of licenses (or Test pre-filled list of licenses if you are working in test mode) in the field related
  • Further configuration is made the same way as when setting up for the first time
• Click Save
• Your request to set up a pre-filled list of licenses will be sent to our support team. While your request is being processed, the previously configured fulfillment method remains active for your products.
• We will reach out to you by email to ask clarifying questions and to set up
• After the connection has been complete, modifying your fulfillment settings will affect all your products; i.e. your products created earlier, and any new ones will use fulfillment via your pre-filled list of licenses

You can test license fulfillment executed via the pool by making a purchase through your checkout page.

This process is the same as when making a purchase to test the web service.
